oRBite Lab — Geneva, Switzerland
Biologist · Healthcare equity analyst · Gaming enthusiast
Five years staining cells taught me to read a system nobody fully understands. I do the same to healthcare pipelines and balance sheets now. Biologist, equity analyst, and the guy who ran Geneva's esports scene for six years. Same instinct, three fluorophores.
Senior Healthcare Equity Analyst and Junior Portfolio Manager at AtonRa Partners, Geneva, since 2020. Biotech and medtech research driving subsector allocation, plus thematic writing, client calls, and the part where the thesis has to show up in the numbers. Two thematic strategies researched: Biotech 360° and Bionics. Six years on the buyside, after a stint in pharma quality assurance at Galderma, UCB and Novartis.
Ph.D in biomedical sciences, Université de Genève. Five years asking how an amoeba kills what it just ate. Four peer-reviewed papers on intracellular killing, plus two awards for explaining it to people who have never held a pipette.
Doctoral thesis, UNIGE. First place, Ma thèse en 180 secondes. iGEM Paris 2009, gold medal.
Gaming isn't the hobby line on my CV. It's the institution I ran. Six years presiding over Geneva's esports scene, two more lobbying Bern to call it a sport, and a Unity project window that is still open.
Twenty-plus articles and interviews in Le Temps, RTS, 20 Minutes, Tribune de Genève, Sphere and AllNews. Usually about biotech. Occasionally about billionaires or fake meat.
On stage: “Different is better than better” — Asset Rush, Zurich, 2023.
Biotech theses, lab war stories, or a ranked queue at an indefensible hour. All three are fair game.
